Arguably the most verstaile of all Stainless steels 304 & 304H have the best all round performance due to their chemical composition, mechanancial properties, weldability and corrosion resistance.
Where 304 & 304H differ is that Type 304H has a higher carbon content which gives it a slight edge on 304 when good mechanical properties are needed at elevated temperature environments.
